We embarked on an “eco-revolution” transformation of this home, renovating both the inside and out, to enhance its functionality and sustainability. We electrified this home removing all gas and oil and converting it to an electric, net zero energy home. Converting a single-story screen porch into conditioned living space and repurposing the existing garage into a new master bedroom and bathroom were just the beginning. We expanded the property’s footprint with a two-car garage featuring ample storage, while also introducing yard fencing, gates, and outdoor landscaping.
Our renovation encompassed a comprehensive overhaul, from re-siding with eco-friendly materials to redesigning key interior spaces such as the kitchen, mudroom, and entry. Additionally, we upgraded mechanical and electrical systems for improved efficiency. The addition on the West Elevation included a new patio hardscape and outdoor entertaining area, seamlessly integrating with the existing structure. Through the integration of solar and geothermal energy resources, the home now operates on clean, renewable energy, significantly reducing its environmental footprint while enhancing energy efficiency. We also added continuous insulation, a new ventilation system and mitigated air leakage to improve energy efficiency.
As we bid farewell to fossil fuels and embrace renewable energy, each aspect of this renovation speaks to our dedication to a greener future. Together, we’ve not just renovated a home—we’ve pioneered a new standard of eco-conscious living.
